Discrimination and prejudice are the result of fear of the unknown.  When people do not make an effort to understand one another, discrimination may result.  It is obvious that recent legislative decisions and proposals have not worked to end discrimination.  I’m tired of laws being created to “help” some segment of our population at the cost of taking funding or opportunities away from other segments.  It seems that many of these bills do nothing but create an atmosphere of pitting one group against another in the fight for funding.  This must stop.  Opportunities should be provided for all.
